Valenza and the art of jewellery: archives and goldsmith art tradition is a project promoted by the Town Council of Valenza, with  the support of Regione Piemonte and Cassa di Risparmio di Alessandria Foundation, with the collaboration of “Amici del Museo dell’Arte Orafa Valenza”, For.Al Valenza, the Aziende Orafe Confindustria Alessandria Group and the Camera di Commercio Alessandria.

The main purpose is the appreciation of the goldsmith art tradition of our town through a web site, which is constantly updated and useful to rediscover and to promote the existing historical record about the city goldsmith art.

Information about the archives of historical companies has been included in a database available in the web site. Here you can also find documents, videos, pictures, publications, and rediscover the know-how of craftsmen, specialists and entrepreneurs and provide a tool to read our history.

 

The knowledge of history is relevant to conceive the future because we think that the goldsmith work bench should be the quality mark of  contemporary  production.
